The Saxony Cultural Foundation is awarding 51 grants totaling 348,000 euros for the coming year. These include grants for work, travel, and residencies, as the Free State announced in a press release. The aim of the funding program is to give artists creative freedom and planning security. “This allows artistic projects to grow and new ideas to emerge,” said Foundation Director Manuel Frey. In addition, according to the foundation, the support is not only going to individual artists; two artist duos will also receive travel grants. The press release states that this marks the first time the foundation is promoting “collaborative artistic practices.” According to the foundation, the grant amount ranges from 1,500 to 3,000 euros per month, depending on the type of grant. The duration ranges from one month to six months. Copyright 2026, dpa (www.dpa.de). All rights reserved
