Thousands of concertgoers celebrated the start of the tour by indie band Kraftklub at the Kongresshalle in Schwerin on Tuesday. The musicians from Chemnitz in Saxony are touring Germany, Austria, Luxembourg and Switzerland with their fifth studio album "Sterben in Karl-Marx-Stadt". The concerts are sold out in many places.
The five-piece band around lead singer Felix Kummer (36) thrilled the audience not only with new songs such as "Marlboro Mann" and "Schief in jedem Chor", but also with older hits such as "Schüsse in die Luft" and "Ich will nicht nach Berlin". It was Kraftklub's first concert in Schwerin.
