The volleyball players of VC Bitterfeld-Wolfen have ended their negative streak. Coach Alessio Lodi's charges beat bottom-placed Energiequelle Netzhoppers Königs-Wusterhausen 3:0 (25:13, 25:23, 25:21) in three sets in front of their home crowd on Sunday after 77 minutes. The promoted team thus consolidated its seventh place in the Bundesliga. Logan House, who was voted the most valuable player of the match, played the biggest part in the eighth win of the season.
The hosts clearly dominated the first round, but then had to fight hard for a smooth victory. However, the Bitterfeld side held their nerve in both rounds. In the decisive third set, the home side ensured the decision with a 4:1 run from 21:21 to 25:22.
