Social media and public hype: there's a lot riding on famous young footballers. An experienced national player tells us what two teenagers in the DFB team should look out for.

Football international Jonathan Tah sees dangers for younger players such as national team rookies Said El Mala and Assan Ouédraogo with regard to social media, among other things. It is important to "simply protect them and teach them a little bit that they should keep to themselves", said Tah.

The 29-year-old explained that the young players should not focus too much on "what is being said about them on the outside. Because if you focus too much on the hype, then in difficult moments you also focus on what comes from outside and then that pulls you down again." Tah added: "It's important to have a good environment, a stable environment and just stay focused."

The 19-year-old El Mala from 1. FC Köln and the equally old Ouédraogo from RB Leipzig could make their debut for the DFB squad in the World Cup qualifier in Luxembourg on Friday (20:45/RTL).
