Robin Knoche will return to the starting eleven for 1. FC Nürnberg's away game against Dynamo Dresden after a lengthy absence. Coach Miroslav Klose confirmed that the 32-year-old captain will replace suspended defender Luka Lochoshvili for the game on Friday (6.30pm/Sky). "It's clear that Robin will play," said Klose. Knoche's performance in training in recent weeks has been exemplary. "That's why he'll be on the pitch."
The coach initially left it open as to whether Knoche would take Lotschoshvili's place in the back four. The captain had lost his starting place after Nuremberg's poor start to the season. And Klose switched from a back three to a back four.
Klose wants to continue the positive trend in results against Dresden after four games without defeat and see a more active style of play from his team again. "We simply have to bring our soccer to the pitch. We absolutely intend to do that," said the coach.
