Promotion to the second division is a thing of the past for Dynamo Dresden. An unsettled team still owes a lot.

Dynamo Dresden must finally plan for another year in the 3rd soccer league. On Saturday, the Saxons lost 0:1 (0:1) to SC Verl. Lars Lokotsch put the visitors ahead with the first chance after 21 minutes. In front of 28,325 spectators, the hosts were unable to equalize the deficit. It was the seventh game in a row without a win.

Dynamo started aggressively and put their opponents under pressure by starting very early in front of their penalty area. However, you could already see the uncertainty in the Saxons' actions. The danger was often prevented by technical errors and the final pass did not find its man. This made it easy for Verl to defend their own goal. Things only got dicey once, when Tom Zimmerschied headed Stefan Kutschke's header just wide of the far post.

The visitors became more and more courageous as the game progressed and became increasingly dangerous after taking the lead. Dynamo then made life difficult for themselves because they lacked concentration in defense, allowing Verl to create chances, which they did not make the most of.

The second half began like the first. Verl initially waited out Dresden's more venomous efforts and were lucky that goalkeeper Luca Unbehaun got his fingertips to a Kutschke shot in the 59th minute. The hosts created more and more chances, but Unbehaun in the Verl goal also improved after some initial uncertainty and somehow managed to get his fingers on a Kutschke header (72') and a shot from substitute Jakob Lemmer (76'). Verl only got into the opposition half sporadically, but had little trouble keeping the result alive.
