1. FC Magdeburg has signed Aleksa Marusic, a center forward from North Macedonia. The 25-year-old comes from FK Voska Sport and scored 17 goals and provided three assists in 32 games in the North Macedonian first division last season.
At club level, Marusic has also made appearances in qualifying for the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League, as well as for the U17, U19 and U21 national teams in his native Montenegro. "Aleksa is a mobile striker with a good finish and good shooting technique," said sporting director Otmar Schork, describing the new signing, while coach Christian Titz emphasized the attacker's style of play: "With his power and his play with his back to the opponent, he also had a good goal rate last season."
