SC Paderborn claimed their sixth win in a row and thus set a new club record. The East Westphalians turned the game around at Dynamo Dresden and won 2:1 (1:1). Christoph Daferner (26 minutes) put Dynamo ahead with a penalty in front of 30,990 spectators at the Rudolf-Harbig-Stadion. Filip Bilbija (45.+1) equalized, also from the penalty spot, before Mika Baur (65) turned the game around. Paderborn are now second in the league's top flight. Dresden remain in the basement.
There have never been six wins in League Two in Paderborn's club history. "We've also talked about that, it's something special. Perhaps it's also an additional incentive," coach Ralf Kettemann told pay-TV channel Sky before kick-off.
However, things initially went better for the Saxons. Konrad Faber (22) moved into the penalty area on the right, but his shot from close range only hit the outside of the net. A short time later, Lasse Tjark Scheller fouled Dresden's Niklas Hauptmann in the box and Daferner converted the penalty (26').
