Dynamo Dresden were also unable to halt the winning run of 1. FC Nürnberg in the 2nd Bundesliga. The Franconians won 2:1 (1:1) at the promoted team from Saxony and moved up to ninth place in the standings for the time being. Rafael Lubach put the visitors in front after just 14 seconds with the first attack of the game. It was the fastest goal of this second division season so far.
Dominik Kother scored the surprise equalizer (45.+1) in front of 31,749 spectators. Tim Janisch (51) gave the visitors the lead again, which was enough to secure victory. Dresden are still waiting for their first home win of the season and remain in a relegation spot.
Nuremberg dominate the game
The quick lead - no Dresden player had touched the ball beforehand - initially gave the club confidence. Dynamo tried to play their part, but it was the visitors who set the tone. Dynamo goalkeeper Lennart Grill prevented the 0:2 in the 31st minute when he spectacularly deflected a side-footed shot from Mohamed Ali Zoma around the post.
The equalizer came as a surprise because the hosts had not been able to create a clear scoring opportunity up to that point. However, Kother was only accompanied in the penalty area and was able to finish precisely.
Another quick Nuremberg lead after the break
Nuremberg also looked more determined after the break. Consequently, they took the lead again. However, the visitors then withdrew and waited for counter-attacks, which were increasingly successful.
Dynamo tried hard, but were simply not precise in their passing. There were still chances, but Nils Fröling (71') missed from a good position. The hosts did not manage much more against clever Nuremberg.
