Bundesliga basketball club Niners Chemnitz has ended the group stage of the Eurocup with a defeat. The team of Head Coach Rodrigo Pastore, which had already qualified for the round of 16, lost by a clear 62:79 (36:34) at Turkish first-division club Türk Telekom Ankara on Wednesday evening. Kevin Yebo was the Niners' best scorer with 14 points and they finished sixth in Group B with nine wins and nine defeats.
After the break, Ankara defended much more intensely and also benefited from a number of careless turnovers by the visitors. As a result, the favorites pulled 51:44 ahead in the 27th minute. Chemnitz held out until 56:62 (34'), before the home side produced a 14:0 run to pull 76:56 (38') ahead.
