Luca Herrmann returns to Dresden from Paderborn

Second division promotion contenders Dynamo Dresden have once again secured the services of Luca Herrmann. The 26-year-old midfielder is returning to the city on the Elbe after just one year with FC Paderborn. This was announced by both clubs. The clubs have agreed not to disclose the terms of the transfer.

"He has already shown what great potential he has in the past. It is a great advantage that he knows the club and the environment very well from the past few years and will therefore not need a long acclimatization period," said Dynamo's sporting director Thomas Brendel.

The contact with coach Thomas Stamm was also decisive for Herrmann. "That's why the decision was very easy for me when the opportunity to return came up. I had already worked successfully with Thomas Stamm for a long time in Freiburg and therefore know the processes and the style of play, which suits me very well," said Herrmann, who was born in Freiburg and joined the club's youth academy in 2011. There he went through all the youth teams up to the U19s and in 2017 made the leap to the Breisgau U23s, which Stamm also coached.
