In the second division match between FC Schalke 04 and Dynamo Dresden, which has been classified as a high-risk match by the police, no alcohol will be served in the area for visiting fans. Several hundred officers will be on duty at the match on Saturday (13:00/Sky), according to the Gelsenkirchen police. Dynamo fans arriving by train will be taken to the stadium on a shuttle bus accompanied by officers.
"Our aim is to ensure that all visitors have a safe soccer match," said a letter from the police to fans. "Support and an exuberant atmosphere are part of sport, they are fundamental and make every game a special experience. Violence, on the other hand, is not part of soccer! That's why the police will take decisive action against violent offenders at all times, regardless of the fan camp, and consistently punish violations."
