Fabian Strauß is set to lead BG Göttingen back into the German Basketball League. The 32-year-old joins the relegated first-division side from second-division club Dresden Titans on a two-year contract with exit options.
Strauß succeeds Mikko Riipinen, who will coach MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg in the Bundesliga next season. "Even though Fabian is still young, his experience in the second division, his conceptual ideas and his ambition convinced us," said Göttingen's managing director Frank Meinertshagen. Göttingen were relegated with just three wins.
