Dynamo Dresden have fought their way up to a promotion place in the 3rd Football League with an impressive second half. The Saxons secured a 4:2 (1:2) win at SV Sandhausen in the top match and are now second in the table with 29 points.
Former Dresden player Dominic Baumann (24') had put the hosts ahead, Christoph Daferner (29') equalized immediately. David Otto (42) scored shortly before the break to level the scores at half-time. After the break, Daferner (53), Vinko Sapina (59) and Jonas Oehmichen (62) turned the game around within nine minutes. SV director Besar Halimi was shown the red card in the 87th minute.
The 6,400 spectators in the Hardtwald saw a fast-paced game in which the hosts dominated the first 25 minutes and took a not undeserved lead after a header. However, Dynamo rallied, equalized and from then on played a game at eye level. Sandhausen took the lead at the break thanks to a fine individual effort from Jeremias Lorch, who set up Otto for the goal.
