Dynamo Dresden, promoted to the second division, have signed a right-back from Switzerland. He was trained in Freiburg, among other places.

Dynamo Dresden, promoted to the second division, have loaned out Konrad Faber for the coming season. The 27-year-old right-back joins from Swiss first division club FC St. Gallen. "After the end of Jonas Sterner's loan, we had a vacant position on the right side of defense that we wanted to fill with a similar type of player as quickly as possible. As a right-back, Konrad has a high workload. His style of play is characterized by high speed, both offensively and defensively, which can be very good for our game," said Dynamo's sporting director Thomas Brendel.

Faber was born in Breisach am Rhein and played for SV Breisach, FC Emmendingen and Freiburger FC as a youth player. He also took his first steps in the men's game there before moving to SC Freiburg's second team. In 2021, Faber joined SSV Jahn Regensburg for three years and gained international experience at FC St. Gallen last season.
