Second-division soccer club Dynamo Dresden failed to win their second test match at the winter training camp in Lara, Turkey. Against Rot-Weiss Essen, the Elbe city team could not get past a 1:1 (0:1) against the third division team in a game of 2x60 minutes. Coach Thomas Stamm's team had won the first test match against Swiss second division side FC Aarau 3:2.
Dynamo also started against Essen with all four new signings from the winter transfer window: Jason Ceka (Elversberg), Jonas Sterner (Hannover), Robert Wagner (Freiburg) and Thomas Keller (Heidenheim). Despite better opportunities for Dresden, their opponents took the lead after a defensive error thanks to Danny Schmidt (59th minute). The sports club made a complete substitution at half-time. Christoph Daferner then scored the deserved equalizer with a header (77th).
