The top game of the Barmer ProA started with tip-off at 6 pm. The Dresden Titans, with the best offense to date, played today against the league leaders, the Fraport Skyliners, in front of a historic crowd: 2,368 basketball fans came to the Margon Arena.

The first quarter ended with the visitors trailing 16:26 after a dynamic start by the Titans. The score was 21:28 midway through the second quarter. After a low-scoring start, the atmosphere in the Margon Arena was electric, especially when shouts were raised against the referee, who the fans felt should whistle more generously. The euphoria may have been fueled by SG Dynamo Dresden's home win, as such comments are more likely to be heard on the football pitch.

Today, the threes didn't really want to fall for the Titans. Up to half-time, only 21 percent of their shots from beyond the arc found their target, resulting in 9 points. By contrast, the Fraport Skyliners scored at a rate of 33 percent, giving them 24 points. Both teams were able to convert 2 out of 3 free throws.

The visitors scored the first three points at the start of the second half, followed by further threes. The Titans, on the other hand, had a difficult spell and soon trailed by 22 points. The league leaders acted calmly and converted two free throws, as did Isemann (#21) for the Titans.

Murphy (#2) created a good atmosphere in the arena with a three and two more points, but the Skyliners continued to score reliably. The score was 42:66 at the end of the third quarter.

The question remained as to whether the Titans could make up the 24-point difference. However, despite repeated points by Dresden in the final minutes, it was not to be enough in the end. The Titans had to concede defeat to the visitors from Frankfurt with a final score of 59:81.
