At the end of last year, Dresden goalkeeper Stefan Drljaca injured his thigh. It is now becoming apparent that he will not play again this season.

Dynamo Dresden will probably have to fight for promotion in the 3rd soccer league without Stefan Drljaca. According to a report in "Bild", the injured goalkeeper will not be able to return to training until mid-April at the earliest. The season ends - without relegation - just one month later. It is unlikely that coach Markus Anfang will change the goalkeeper again in the last three or four games.

Kevin Broll is currently standing in for Drljaca in Dresden's goal. The 28-year-old has only kept one clean sheet in seven games, conceding a total of eleven goals. "Anything the opponents put on goal goes in straight away. That really wears on you," said Broll. Dynamo have only managed two wins in this time, and the Saxons are only two points off third place in the promotion race.

Drljaca was Dynamo's regular goalkeeper until the end of last year, when he injured his front right thigh. Conservative treatment did not have the desired effect and the 24-year-old had to undergo an operation. As a result, the club signed Daniel Mesenhöler, who had already played for Hallescher FC and Viktoria Köln in the 3rd division, as a new replacement goalkeeper.
