The Olympic bronze medalist Andrea Herzog as well as Lennard Tuchscherer have ensured home victories for Leipzig at the canoe slalom championships in Kanupark Markkleeberg. Both prevailed in the canadier-one. In the absence of Elena Lilik from Augsburg, Herzog could even afford a 50-second penalty in the semifinal and still make it to the final. Tuchscherer's victory also lacked an Olympic medalist in Tasiadis Sideris from Augsburg.
The success in the kayak single went to the Kanuschwaben Augsburg. Emily Apel used the absence of Ricarda Funk and her sister Lilik to success. Noah Hegge secured the men's title.
