Saxony is supporting the improvement of training conditions at local federal winter sports bases with almost six million euros. The projects for which the funding decisions were presented on Friday include the expansion of the snowmaking system in Oberwiesenthal, the disabled-friendly expansion of the Zinnwald biathlon facility and work in the Vogtland Arena. The federal bases in Saxony are hotbeds of talent and important employers in the regions, emphasized Saxony's Minister President Michael Kretschmer (CDU).
