Seven new basic education centers in Saxony are to help adults with reading and writing difficulties. These centers will be tested as models and scientifically monitored until the end of 2026, as announced by the Saxon State Ministry of Culture. The facilities are to be set up in rural areas in the districts of Leipzig, North Saxony, Erzgebirgskreis, Zwickau, Vogtlandkreis, Görlitz and Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge.

People who have problems with reading and writing and their relatives will find advice and learning opportunities there, it said. Cooperation with local social services will also be strengthened.
