Almost one in ten children in Saxony received educational support in 2023. This includes support in the event of family conflicts such as separations or custody disputes, but also help when parents are overwhelmed with parenting.
According to the State Statistical Office in Kamenz, 61,581 children and young people received such support. That was 9 percent of all young people under the age of 18 in Saxony. Compared to 2022, the number rose by 4 percent. More than half of the assistance was educational counseling.
