The finale is once again full of topics. The Saxon state parliament says goodbye to the year 2025 and wants to discuss controversial topics once again.

The Saxon state parliament meets for its last plenary session of the year on Thursday (10.00). Three debates have been registered for the topical hour. At the request of the Greens, the handling of New Year's Eve fireworks is on the agenda. The party is concerned with protecting animals and the environment and relieving the burden on the emergency services. The Left Party wants to discuss pensions, while the CDU wants to discuss the modernization of the state.

Minister of Culture Conrad Clemens (CDU) will answer questions from the state government. Other topics include medical care in the Free State, the future of Volkswagen in Saxony and the implications of the title of European Capital of Culture 2025 for Chemnitz. The AfD is tabling a motion that would result in a work obligation for asylum seekers.
