30 officers are on duty in the Schedewitz district of Zwickau.

The police have broken up a concert by the far-right scene in the Zwickau district of Schedewitz. The song recital took place in a garden, the premises had been rented for a family birthday party, the Zwickau police department announced.

30 officers were deployed and 41 people from the right-wing spectrum were identified on site. There was no permit for a concert and the event was broken up. The police did not identify any criminal offenses.

The number of neo-Nazi concerts in Saxony had fallen sharply in 2024. This was recently revealed by an evaluation of the monthly small questions from Left Party politician Juliane Nagel in the Saxon state parliament.

According to this, eleven such events took place in the previous year - irregularly and at changing locations, mostly declared as "song evenings" on a small scale. In 2023, the authorities had registered 22 such live concerts, compared to 23 in the previous year. 2019 saw the highest number to date with 50 such events, the report added.
