397 kilograms of waste per capita: Saxony's households throw away more than in the previous year. How much of this is actually residual waste?

Saxony's households generated around 1.61 million tons of waste last year. This corresponds to around 397 kilograms of household waste per capita, according to the State Office for the Environment, Agriculture and Geology in its waste balance sheet. This is two kilograms more than in 2023. On average, each person in the state disposed of 121 kilograms of residual waste, 172 kilograms of recyclables, 28 kilograms of bulky waste and 76 kilograms of organic waste last year.
