One week after the peak of the flood, the Elbe is still fuller than usual and is only slowly subsiding. On Monday afternoon, 3.26 meters were measured at the Dresden gauge; a water level of two meters is normal at the Augustus Bridge.

No warnings are currently shown on the overview of the state flood center. According to a spokeswoman, the other rivers in Saxony are completely back in their beds. In view of the changeable weather, the further development depends on snow and rain - for the Elbe also in its Czech catchment area.
