Study in Spain, Italy or the USA: selected pupils can spend four weeks at a school abroad. Who can apply?

The Saxon Ministry of Culture is awarding 35 scholarships for a four-week school visit abroad. Secondary school students in grades 8 and 9 have until March 25, 2025 to apply for a stay in France, Malta, the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Spain, Italy or the USA, the Ministry of Culture announced. Secondary school students in the eighth and ninth grades can only apply for France, the Czech Republic, Spain and Italy.

The scholarship covers the costs of teaching materials, air travel and the necessary insurance abroad. The students are accommodated with host families.

Minister of Education Conrad Clemens (CDU) expressly encourages students to apply for the scholarship: "With our scholarship program, we not only promote language, but also the ability to think outside the box, the exchange between cultures and the personality of the students".
