The number of pupils at general education schools in Saxony has risen slightly in the current school year. According to the State Statistical Office, 417,500 boys and girls are currently studying there - 1.1 percent (4,600) more than in the 2023/24 school year. According to the data, there are 1,575 general education schools in the Free State, both publicly and privately funded.
