All Trilex trains from Görlitz and Zittau will no longer stop at Bischofswerda station with immediate effect. According to the announcement, the Länderbahn had to temporarily adjust its traffic concept due to construction problems at DB InfraGo. Passengers with Bischofswerda as their final destination must therefore continue to Weickersdorf and then take an emergency bus service to the small town every half hour or so.
Criticism of Deutsche Bahn
According to the information provided, there will also be a replacement service from there to Dresden and then the Trilex from Weickersdorf. Only trains from Dresden could stop in Bischofswerda, but no transfer connections could be secured. "Until further notice", two tracks would not be available there due to an unusable bridge, with "drastic" consequences for operations at the railroad junction such as timetable deviations and train cancellations," criticized the Länderbahn.
