The tax offices in Saxony have started processing income tax returns for 2023. The first assessments are to be sent out from the end of March, as announced by the Ministry of Finance on Friday. The tax offices expect to receive around 1.6 million income tax returns.
Private individuals have until September 2 to submit their tax returns. Those who use the help of a tax advisor or income tax assistance association have until June 2, 2025. Last year, around 75 percent of tax returns were already submitted electronically, according to the ministry.
