A train journey from Dresden to Prague will soon be more difficult. Due to construction work in the upper Elbe valley, travelers will have to change to buses at times.

Those wishing to travel by train from Dresden to Prague at the end of October and in November may have to change to buses. Due to construction work between Bad Schandau and Schöna, the line will be temporarily closed, as announced by Deutsche Bahn.

Trains on the long-distance Berlin-Dresden-Prague line will then only run between Berlin and Dresden and Decin and Prague. Replacement buses will run between Dresden and Usti nad Labem. There will be restrictions on local services between Bad Schandau and Schöna until mid-December.

According to Deutsche Bahn, the closures will take place from October 26 to November 8 and November 13 to 16. Further work is then planned again from December 1 to 10.
