Construction prices in Saxony continue to rise

If you want to build a house in Saxony, you will have to fork out more money this year than in 2023. According to the State Statistical Office in Kamenz, the Saxon construction price index for residential buildings was 3.3 percent higher in August 2024 than in August 2023.

Numerous construction services became more expensive - from finishing (up 4.6 percent) and electrical work (up 9.6 percent) to the construction of technical facilities (up 12.3 percent). Construction prices also continued to rise for office buildings (up 3.6 percent) and commercial buildings (up 3.3 percent) - a trend that has now been ongoing for several years.
