The dishwashing detergent manufacturer Fit from Hirschfelde in Saxony may be facing a change of ownership. "We are currently in a phase of carefully examining various future options for the company. Talks are underway with potential interested parties, but no concrete decisions have been made to date," the company announced. Previously, there were reports of a planned sale in the "Lebensmittel Zeitung" and the "Sächsische Zeitung".
The company quotes its founder, managing director and shareholder Wolfgang Groß as saying: "After all, I am almost 73 years old and must now examine the best options for the future of our company. It's time for me to put the future of Fit GmbH on a secure long-term footing."
The company's advisory board is supporting the owner in this process with professional advice, it said. "It is extremely important to us to find a reliable buyer who will preserve the corporate culture and secure the jobs of our employees." An investment of 25 million euros in the expansion of production was only recently announced. "In recent years, we have invested over 200 million euros in building one of the most modern production sites in Europe."
