As one of eleven municipalities in Germany, the town of Wettin-Löbejün is to be named "Land Music Location of the Year 2024" by the German Music Council this year. "Each of the award-winning locations is a nucleus of successfully networked, diverse musical life in its federal state that is sustainably supported by competence and enthusiasm," explained the President of the German Music Council, Martin Maria Krüger, according to a press release. A concert is planned for the award ceremony in the city in the Saale district on Saturday (August 31) at the Carl-Loewe-Haus.
