The Silbermann Days transcend borders - geographically and musically. Innovative concert formats are also on the program in September.

In the Capital of Culture year 2025, the Silbermann Days in September will explore the "Sound of Europe". Europe will be celebrated as a diverse cultural region and a place of exchange and togetherness, the organizers announced. The European Union Baroque Orchestra is expected to perform at the opening.

The program includes an open air event in Freiberg's castle courtyard, a concert in the Chemnitz Railway Museum and a double concert via livestream in Freiberg Cathedral and St. Thomas Church in Strasbourg. For the first time, a jazz program with the Dutch organist Bert van den Brink will also be offered.

The Silbermann Days commemorate the great German organ builder Gottfried Silbermann (1683-1753). This year, the festival takes place from September 5 to 14.
