La Dolce Vita at the Semper Opera Ball in Dresden: Italy will set the tone for the next edition of this spectacular event. Fittingly, the midnight act will also come from Bella Italia.

The iconic Italian band Ricchi e Poveri is set to perform as the midnight act at the 2027 Semper Opera Ball. In addition to Italian hits, the organizer also announced wines from Tuscany and culinary delights from Bella Italia for the event on February 5. TV host Nina Ruge will bring wines from her Tuscan winery, Vila Santo Stefano, to Dresden and will be in attendance alongside her husband, Wolfgang Reitzle.

“With Ricchi e Poveri, we’ve secured a midnight act that perfectly complements our Italian ball theme. Their hits have been well-known for decades and continue to delight generations to this day. We are very excited to welcome these music legends to the 2027 Semper Opera Ball in Dresden,” explained Gerhard Müler, chairman of the Semper Opera Ball Association. Ricchi e Poveri rose to fame with songs like “Sarà perché ti amo” and “Mamma Maria,” which remain party classics to this day.

Theme: “Vivi il momento – A Night in Elbflorenz”

The ball, themed “Vivi il momento – A Night in Elbflorenz,” will be hosted by entertainer Riccardo Simonetti and sports announcer Esther Sedlaczek. Frank-Walter Steinmeier is also set to attend the Dresden Opera Ball as the fourth Federal President in the event’s history.
