The 12th Long Night of Dresden Theatres ended last night with a positive result for the organizers. Around 8,500 visitors took advantage of the 25 stages and more than 127 individual events on offer, according to a statement. According to the statement, this is 500 guests more than last year.
The program ranged from drama, opera and musicals to dance and comedy, variety and magic shows until midnight. Guests at three closing parties also celebrated the end of the event until the early hours of the morning.
The Long Night of Dresden's Theatres is also intended to appeal to non-theatre-goers and break down fears of contact, showcase the diversity of the theaters and enable the audience to engage in conversation with the cultural professionals, it added. The next edition of the format is planned for April 24, 2027.
