The school leavers in Saxony have once again achieved a good result this year. The average grade was 2.20, roughly the same as the previous year (2024: 2.18).
96.4 percent of candidates passed the Abitur examination. The pass rate was therefore just below that of the previous year (96.5 percent). In 2016, 97.6 percent of school leavers passed the Abitur.
This year, 353 students in Saxony completed their Abitur with the top grade of 1.0. In the previous year, 348 students achieved this result. In the current school year, 10,539 students took the exam.

Minister of Education Conrad Clemens (CDU) praised the consistently good results and the commitment of the teachers: "Behind these successes is a lot of hard work, perseverance and dedication - from both the students and the teachers, who supported their pupils with great dedication and prepared them for the exams in the best possible way."
