The Kulturstiftung Sachsen will be awarding grants to 55 artists from the Free State of Saxony next year.

The Saxony Cultural Foundation plans to support 55 artists from the Free State with scholarships next year. A total of 390,000 euros will be spent on this, the foundation announced in Dresden on Thursday. In addition to location-based work grants in the fields of visual arts, literature, performing arts and music as well as film, some artists will be given the opportunity to travel abroad for their work.

For example, two artists from Leipzig are going to the USA and another artist to Slovakia. According to the foundation, the number of applicants has increased. For 2024, there were a total of 462 - around 100 more applications than in the previous year.
