The Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance continues to expand its structures in Saxony. There is now also a city association in Dresden. The chairman is no stranger.

The Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance has now also founded a city association in the state capital of Dresden. The chairman is Andreas Uhlig, who is also on the party's state executive committee, according to the BSW. The party had previously founded a district association in the Erzgebirgskreis district, among others.

The BSW recently announced its intention to expand its structures in Saxony. "We are in the process of founding district associations and accepting more members. We still have around 1,000 applications. These should be processed by the end of the year," state chairwoman Sabine Zimmermann recently announced. The BSW currently has just under 200 members in the state.

The BSW achieved 11.8 percent of the second votes in the state elections in Saxony. After lengthy negotiations, however, it did not participate in a governing coalition - the CDU and SPD are now forming a minority government. A state party conference is scheduled for September. Zimmermann then wants to leave the dual leadership in the state.
